Are Your Gums Sensitive When You Brush?

Triple Bristle customer Dan J. asks:

How are we progressing on repairing receding gums?

Great question!

Depending on the severity of your gum recession, you have many options to restore them back to their correct height.

Nearly half of Americans over the age of 30 have periodontal disease, and though fairly common…

If left untreated, periodontitis can destroy the bone that supports your teeth, meaning…

Your teeth will loosen or, worse, lead to total tooth loss.

Which is exactly what happened to my mother.

By the time she was in her thirties, she had already had multiple teeth removed!

Though her case was very severe…

If you have red, swollen gums, a dental sensitivity to hot or cold, persistent bad breath, or your gums always bleed when you brush, you might have gum disease.

If so, you’ll want to consult with a periodontist who can usually help determine why your gums started receding (gum recession is usually a complex condition with lots of contributing factors) and then together you can come up with a specific plan to help you restore your gums back to their original height.
